German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles

We come across a lot of fantastic dogs in our rescue work, but Tessa is really something special. This 2 year old female has a large, athletic build and beautiful dark markings. She weighs somewhere around 80 pounds and looks to be in great shape. Her coat is very well cared for and her disposition is steady and gentle, yet not overly clingy. Tessa is beautifully trained and knows her "sit" and "down" commands perfectly, and she loves to walk contentedly by your side on her leash. Someone lost (or tossed away) a fantastic dog: We wish she could tell us her story so that we could understand how such a wonderful companion ended up wandering in a rural area.

Tessa is perfect with all of the dogs that she meets. Soon we will introduce her to some kitties to see what she thinks of them. She loves kids and is content when riding in the car. Tessa is a great example of what this breed is meant to be--confident, yet obedient and loving. She will make a lovely addition to some lucky family.

A kind animal control officer contacted German Shepherd Rescue when Tessa arrived at the animal shelter. We know that the officer saw in this dog what we do--an unusually well-bred and beautiful girl.
