Hedy

Hedy is a slender beauty, approximately 2 years young. She is absolutely lovely - people stop our volunteers on the street when they are walking Hedy to comment on what a beautiful girl she is! Hedy is a medium-sized girl who has just recovered from a nasty case of the doggie flu. She is happy and healthy and eager to find a loving family that can help her mature into a proper lady. Like all teenage shepherds, Hedy will benefit from a good obedience class and a patient leader. She has just arrived so we will update her profile as soon as we learn more about her. We do know that she appears to like cats.

Hedy was scooped up from a high-kill shelter on her very last day. Our volunteers had to scramble to get out to a distant shelter to save her, but we are so thrilled that she is safe with us now!

Hedy is in boarding and desperately seeking a sponsor to help offset the costs of getting her healthy enough for adoption. A case of doggie flu typically costs our rescue between $300 and $700 per dog because the dogs must be kept in isolation at a vet hospital to prevent them from infecting any other dogs in our care. Could you be the special person to sponsor beautiful Hedy? Your thoughtfulness and compassion will make it possible for us to save another dog in need. Click here if you can help. Specify that your donation is intended for Hedy.
