Meet Dutch, our golden boy. Someone thought enough of this blond beauty to buy him an expensive leather collar, but didn't bother to put ID tags on it or come looking for him when he ended up in a kill shelter. He was so excited when German Shepherd Rescue was there to save him that he did the happy dance all the way to the car.

Dutch is an 11 month old male who greets everyone with a tail wag and loves to play with other dogs. He's very outgoing, curious and energetic.

Like most puppies, Dutch is full of typical puppy energy and will need devotion and loving care to become an obedient companion. Think hard about whether you have the time, patience and energy to take on a young dog before you do so. There are plenty of older, elegant and well-mannered German Shepherds available for adoption as well. But if you're ready, Dutch has personality plus, and with your love, attention, and obedience classes, you'll have a dog that makes people stop in their tracks to admire him.
