German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles

Boris is a magnificent 4 year old male who is craving someone special to call his own. He has classic black and tan markings and a regal stance, leading us to believe that someone paid big bucks for this guy when he was an adorable puppy. Somehow, this noble gentleman ended up in an overcrowded animal shelter, where he quickly made friends with the staff. We wish he could talk so he could tell us how his life took such a sad turn. Boris is currently very underweight at 70 pounds, and we expect him to weigh in at 90 or more once he has received some good meals and some muscle-toning exercise. He is very affectionate and eager to please, and he appears to have had some basic obedience training. Boris is very protective of his family, so we would like to place him into a home with an experience German Shepherd owner.

Boris was picked up as a stray and never reclaimed by his owner. When his time "ran out" (aka he was slated for euthanasia) at the shelter, the staff there pleaded with us to help this sweet boy.

Boris is in a boarding facility because our rescue shelter is full.
