German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles

This cute, furry face belongs to Baxter, a 7-9 month old male shepherd mix. He is so loving, gentle and happy. He is super affectionate and loves to be hugged. Baxter loves everyone (other dogs, too) and greets all with his tail wagging. He is very well behaved in the house, and hasn't destroyed anything. He is almost housebroken, as long as you take him out frequently, and has started on crate training. Baxter rides great in car, loves walks, and is pretty good on leash.

Baxter was rescued from a high-kill public shelter when his time ran out and he'll now be one of the lucky dogs German Shepherd Rescue helps to find a new home. One of Baxter's parents we think was a coated shepherd and the other might have been a collie because he has the softest, plushest coat you've ever felt with beautiful waves on his back! He will likely grow up to be a big boy and will need regular grooming because of his plush coat.

Like most puppies, Baxter is full of typical puppy energy and will need devotion and loving care to become an obedient companion. He loves to jump and run, but calms right down for a car ride. He prefers riding in the front passenger seat looking out the BACK window, thank you very much!
