German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles

Tiki is a gorgeous AKC registered black and tan female. She is only 11 months old. She is sweet and loving, and extremely affectionate. She has lots of playful, puppy energy. She would do well in an active home, and she would be fine with older children. She might just have too much energy for young toddlers! She seems to get along well with other friendly dogs, and has been in a home with cats. She is already housebroken, rides well in the car, and is very intelligent. With a little basic obedience training, she is going to be fantastic.

Tiki's owners wanted a German Shepherd puppy, even though they just had a young baby of their own. We tried to tell them that this was probably not a good idea, but they went ahead and bought a puppy from a breeder. They quickly learned that having a bouncy, young German Shepherd in a home with a small baby is often not a good idea. They turned Tiki in to us, stating that she was too "hyper" for the baby.
