Sasha is a 12 month old rare short-haired "Dutch Shepherd".
She is typical of the breed, with a beautiful brindle colored
coat, athletic build, gorgeous stance, and alert face.
Although they are not common here in the United States, these dogs
came from Holland where they are used as working/herding dogs.
They are very similar to German Shepherds in many ways.
Sasha is exceptionally affectionate with
people. She is very obedient and attentive, and learns fast.
She loves to play ball, and loves retrieving any kind of toy,
especially soft ones. She has a very gentle mouth. She
is not food aggressive or possession aggressive whatsoever.
She is crate trained, and is not destructive. She does not
jump over six foot fences, but she does need a secure yard.
Sasha is very playful, and also very calm
when she feels secure. She does not like other dogs to
approach her without a proper introduction. You can tell
when she falls in love with you by the complete devotion in her
eyes. She will put her owner's safety above all else, she
will be very devoted to protecting her people and property.
Sasha has many typical shepherd traits, including being very loyal
and protective.
