Lucky

Lucky has not been the luckiest of pups!  At only 5 months old, he has had some very hard times.  Lucky was picked up running stray without ID tags.  Here is his story:

When he was picked up, the animal control officer noticed that he had several puncture wounds.  One of the punctures was so deep that he could not use his right front foot.  Lucky waited and waited at the shelter for someone to adopt him.  Apparently, no one wanted to devote the time to helping this boy walk again.  While he waited to be adopted, he did not receive necessary medical care.

German Shepherd Rescue heard about this sweet boy on his "last day".  It seemed that his time had run out and this precious pup was going to die without knowing what it's like to have a wonderful family that adores him.  We couldn't let that happen!  Lucky is now receiving the veterinary care that he needs and is healing nicely.  He has some nerve damage to his foot and will require physical therapy to regain the use of his foot.  His prognosis is GREAT and he will be a happy, healthy puppy in no time with the proper care.

Lucky is looking for a family to love and cherish him.  His physical therapy consists of spending time flexing and extending his paw and a little puppy massage!  Do you have room in your heart and home for this sweet and deserving pup?

Lucky is in boarding.  If you are interested in meeting him, please click on the button below and fill out our online adoption application, or call (714) 317-6111 or email  tiffanylblair@hotmail.com.

Notice his right front paw bent backwards!

I can still run like the wind!
