Blaze

Blaze is a 9-year-old female German Shepherd who really wants to be the love of your life.  She is extremely loyal and will be your forever friend, but she’s looking for a special person to call her own.  Just looking at her beauty and grace will make your heart melt, and don’t let her age fool you—she can be a playful clown one minute and then an elegant lady sitting at your side the next.  She is embarrassed about being a bit overweight at the moment, but with some regular exercise she’ll have her girlish figure back in no time!

Blaze was adopted and recently returned to us because she has some definite preferences about what kind of family she needs.  She will do best as an “only dog” or perhaps with a male who is close to her size (no small animals, please).  She is a big, strong girl who might overwhelm children, so an adult-only home would be best.  Interestingly, she really loves the ladies—she warms up to men once she gets to know them, but would make an excellent companion to a single lady looking for a best friend.  She loves to follow you around and sit next to you while watching television.  At night, she will sleep right by your bed.  Once she knows you, she will give gentle kisses.  Blaze is extremely intelligent and loves new adventures and games.  She loves to play chase or to wrestle.  She is an obedient girl and learns very quickly, especially if you wave a biscuit in front of her face.  She is well housebroken.

Blaze is currently in a boarding kennel.  If you are interested in meeting her, please email mdalescomm@aol.com, or click on the button below and fill out our online adoption application.
