Willow

Good news and Bad News!  The bad news is that one of Willow's owners have become so allergic to her that they have to return her.  They are so sad and love her so much they are willing to keep her until she can find a new home.  The good news is - she is available again and loves other dogs and cats!

Willow is a gentle 4 year old female who originally came to us with a very sad story.  She had fallen or was thrown from a freeway embankment into the brush below.  She probably had been there for a few days when she was finally discovered.  She was immediately brought to the rescue.  Terrified and confused, it took days for her to respond to us.  But love conquers all, and we discovered that we had a very sweet girl on our hands.

However, Willow's troubles were not over.  We found that she had a common form of epilepsy caused by stress.  That was the bad news.  The good news is that she is on medication and she is now well and healthy.  Epilepsy is common in dogs.  All this lovely creature needs is one pill a day to keep the seizures away!

Willow was adopted very quickly because of her loving nature. Unfortunately, she was adopted with another female dog who has turned out to be too aggressive towards Willow.  We are looking for a new home for Willow where she will not have to undergo the stress of being with an "alpha" dog in the household.

Willow is sweet, housebroken, happy, and great with other dogs of all sizes.  Her owners have a cat and Willow seems to be very cat friendly.  She does not seem to have a prey drive at all.  She is so easy going that she really just wants to sit at your feet and keep you company.  She is obedient and gentle, good with children, and very loving.  At a recent adoption event, she happily met lots of people and dogs, and enjoyed being showered with attention.

Please contact us if you are interested in this wonderful dog.  She is a total family dog and would love to share her life with you.  She is in a foster home, so please click on the button below and fill out our online adoption application if you are interested in this sweet girl.
